Website Privacy Notice
This notice explains what personal data the ligi.ai website collects, why, and what rights you have over it.
1. Introduction
This Privacy Notice explains how we collect, use and protect your personal data when you use our website (the “Site”). We are committed to protecting your privacy and to complying with applicable data protection law, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
It covers the Site only. How we handle data inside the ligi.ai platform is set out in the platform’s own privacy notice.
2. Who is responsible for your data
This website is run by Day One Advisory Ltd, a company registered in Malta with number C108719, whose registered office is at 34, PH Skippon Street, Naxxar, Malta (“we”, “us”). You can reach us at info@ligi.ai. We are the controller of the personal data described in this notice.
3. Information we collect
When you send us a message through the contact form, we collect:
- your name;
- your work email address;
- your firm, if you choose to give it;
- the topic you select and your message.
We collect this information directly from you. Like any website, the Site’s hosting provider also processes basic technical data, such as your IP address and browser details, to deliver the Site and protect it from abuse.
We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits, see which pages are used and measure how quickly they load. It does not use cookies or similar technology, and it does not identify you or follow you across other websites.
4. Why we use it, and our legal basis
We use the information you send us to respond to your enquiry and to communicate with you about our tools. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and developing business relationships, or taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
We use technical data to run the Site securely, on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping it available and protected.
We use visit statistics to understand how the Site is used and to improve it, on the basis of our legitimate interest in running a useful website.
5. How long we keep it
We keep your personal data only for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this notice, unless the law requires us to keep it longer. Messages sent through the contact form are deleted 24 months after we receive them.
6. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run the Site and who are bound by data processing agreements:
- Cloudflare, which hosts the Site, protects it from spam and abuse, and provides visit statistics without cookies;
- Resend, which delivers messages sent through the contact form to our inbox;
- Google Workspace, which hosts the inbox we reply from.
We may also share personal data with legal authorities when the law requires it or to protect our legal rights.
7. International transfers
Some of our service providers may process personal data outside the European Economic Area. Where this happens, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.
8. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- have inaccurate personal data corrected;
- have your personal data erased in certain circumstances;
- restrict how we use your personal data;
- receive your personal data in a portable format;
- object to our processing of your personal data.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@ligi.ai.
9. Cookies
The Site does not use advertising cookies or marketing trackers, and our visit statistics work without cookies. Our hosting provider may set strictly necessary cookies to keep the Site secure and to tell people apart from automated bots.
10. Data security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction. No transmission over the internet is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Complaints
If you have concerns about how we handle your personal data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority. In Malta, this is the Office of the Information and Data Protection Commissioner (idpc.org.mt).
12. Contact us
